Nelson Taxis

Total Mobility

Nelson City Taxis has a door-to-door passenger transport scheme designed to use modified taxis for wheelchair access. Its purpose is to increase the mobility of people with disabilities, so that they may access passenger transport in a similar fashion to others in the community.

Our Drivers

All our mobility drivers are highly qualified and experienced in assisting passengers with special needs, proud of what they do and are dedicated to their work. Our long serving drivers have been driving wheelchair taxis for more than 17 years which truly shows total dedication.

Our Vehicles

Our late model Toyota Hiace vans are equipped with electronic wheelchair hoists that are fully certified and compliant to Australian and New Zealand standards. All our wheelchair vans are legally certified to carry a combination of up to 3 wheelchair passengers and a varying number of seated passengers.

Booking

We accept most vouchers including total mobility and DPA vouchers from throughout New Zealand. Visitors to sunny Nelson, please feel free to bring along your own city DPA books to use with us.

It is highly recommended to book as early as possible. Every effort is always strived at to meet the satisfaction of all customers. Our aim is to confirm realistic booking times so that our customers are not left waiting.
